Can my employer cut my salary when I'm ill?
During illness, you're entitled to at least 70% of your salary for two years (art. 7:629 BW). In the first year, it cannot go below minimum wage.
What is an expert opinion (deskundigenoordeel)?
An independent assessment by UWV about your incapacity, reintegration efforts, or suitability of offered work. It costs €100 and carries significant weight in court.
What notice period do I have?
The statutory notice period for employees is 1 month (art. 7:672 BW). For employers, it varies from 1 to 4 months depending on length of service.
